I am rail welding engineer with 40 years experience in all areas of rail welding and rail conditioning
- Managed rail welding for BAM Nuttall on the Evergreen 3 project
- Welding consultant for The Welding Institute on EU Railect Project (Ultrasonic inspection of Aluminothermic welds)
- Managed a British Rail welding School for 10 years
- Welding Engineer for Regional Railways (British Rail)
- Wrote rail welding standards that now form a major part of current standards
- Managed rail welding and ultrasonic testing for major company’s including British Rail, Carillion Rail and Jarvis Rail
- I attend regular meeting to keep up to date with innovations and standards
- I hold a welding diploma and a member of The Welding Institute and the Engineering Council.
- Member of the professional board of The Welding Institute (TWI)
- Member of the management committee of the Institute of Rail Welding (IoRW).
